Privacy Statement for Global Cerah Sdn. Bhd.

Global Cerah Sdn. Bhd. is committed to handling personal data in a safe and secure way. This privacy statement is designed to ensure that you receive the information we are required to provide to you regarding our processing of your personal data and that is necessary for you to exercise your rights under applicable privacy legislation.

 

Personal Data” means any data, whether true or not, in respect of commercial transactions, which – 

(a) is being processed wholly or partly by means of equipment operating automatically in response to instructions given for that purpose;

(b) is recorded with the intention that it should wholly or partly be processed by means of such equipment; or

(c) is recorded as part of a relevant filing system or with the intention that it should form part of a relevant filing system,

that relates directly or indirectly to a data subject, who is identified or identifiable from that information or form that and other information in the possession of a data user, including any sensitive personal data and expression of opinion about the data subject; but does not include any information that is processed for the purpose of a credit reporting business carried on by a credit reporting agency under the Credit Reporting Agencies Act 2010. 

1. RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECT

We process your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (“PDPA”) under Laws of Malaysia. In this connection, you may request access to and transfer of your own personal data, as well as request rectification or deletion in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

2. SHARING DATA WITH THIRD PARTIES

In order to be able to perform our services and fulfil our obligations in accordance with agreements, we share necessary personal data with other parties. This includes suppliers of recruitment, project management, invoicing and timesheet registration programs, as well as suppliers of accounting systems. We have entered into data processing agreements with all our suppliers. We will not share, sell, transfer or otherwise disclose personal data to third parties, unless we are legally obligated to do so.

3. SOCIAL MEDIA

When you visit our pages on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest, these vendors will collect information about you through cookies. The processing of this data is regulated by your user agreement with these companies. The data that LinkedIn and Facebook (which owns Instagram) collects through cookies is anonymized and available to us in an administration panel that is used to better understand how you interact with our site so that we can develop more relevant and interesting content.

4. HOW WE COLLECT AND HOLD YOUR INFORMATION

Unless it’s unreasonable or impracticable, we will try to collect personal information directly from you (referred to as ‘solicited information’).  For this reason, it’s important that you help us to do this and keep your contact details up-to-date.

 

We might collect your information when you fill out a form with us, when you’ve given us a call or used our website. We also find using electronic means, such as email or SMS, a convenient way to communicate with you and to verify your details. However, we’ll never ask you for your security details in this way.
